BOLIVIA

Terra (Inca)gnita

A trip across the high Bolivian altiplano and its salt flats.

Before the Spanish colonised it, Bolivia was part of the Inca empire, and traces of that history sit all over the west of the country. For Inca architecture, the Isla del Sol on Lake Titicaca is the place to go. The landscape is just as varied: dense forest, white mountains, salt flats and loud, colourful markets.

I travelled Bolivia with my brother in 2014, three weeks of it. An intense journey and a great set of memories. I hope these photographs are enough to talk you into going.
